Furious passengers confronted easyJet staff after their flight to Ibiza was delayed overnight because the pilot’s wife went into labour.
Video footage filmed at the airport showed disgruntled holidaymakers swear and shout after learning their 8pm flight was delayed.
Passengers had already gone through security and were waiting to board the plane at 7.30pm when they were told it wasn’t going to leave.
It has since been pushed back twice today and a passenger took to Twitter to vent their anger by posting a picture of people sat on the floor next to their suitcases.
They wrote online: ‘@easyjet, we are waiting once again and it’s just simply excuses. This time it’s the pilot’s wife has gone into labour.’
The British airline today confirmed that the pilot was not able to fly the plane and that it was delayed overnight.
One passenger, Joe Moody, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, told MailOnline: ‘We were treated like no ones.
‘No help by any easy jet staff – literally just left to fend for ourselves. Some of us had to even source our own accommodation of which we are now told will not be refunded.
